Tammy Bishop, age 58, of Amity, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

She was born on November 7, 1963, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Henry Robinson McCormick and Nona Sue Long McCormick. She was preceded in death by her father.

In 1985, Tammy began working in housekeeping at the Glenwood Nursing Home, now Glenwood Health and Rehabilitation. She would become a certified nursing assistant and in 1990 graduated from the Quapaw Vocational Technical School of Nursing as a licensed practical nurse. All the while, she was working full-time at the nursing home where she would continue in her nursing career. Tammy was very active in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and loved being with her family, especially her grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband, George Bishop of Amity; four children, ; three step-sons; twelve grandchildren and one on the way; her mother, Nona Sue McCormick of Pearcy; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Kim McCormick of Glenwood.
