Harriet had a big heart, a very outgoing personality, and always spoke her mind. She was everyone's shoulder to lean on. Her house was the place to be. She had a passion for children, and she loved them all as she loved her own. She was the neighborhood babysitter. Harriet was a force to be reckoned with. She was stern in her resolve. She could tell you off one minute and give you her heart the next. Her other passions were cooking, gardening, and traveling. She really knew her way around the kitchen! Her cookouts were the best. Always had great conversation, but she also had an opinion and a plan, and was steadfast in her beliefs. She was a beacon of strength even on her worst day.
Harriet was survived by her husband Jesse R. Parrish, 2 children Jesse D. Parrish, Shakira Parrish and 2 grandchildren Kaehla-Marie Parrish and David R. Davis Jr. (DJ), all of whom were her life and joy; mother Elizabeth Sheard, sister Carolyn Johnson, late sister Cherlyn Johnson, brother Ross Johnson Jr, brother Melvin Johnson, sister-in-law Elizabeth Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was THEE BEST mother!!! She may be gone, but will forever live in our hearts. THE NEIGHBORHOOD MOM!!!
