It is with heavy hearts, that we, the family of Heather Barlow (Maus, Tabler), regretfully inform those that knew and loved her, that she passed away on September 12th in Salem, Oregon. (9/9/1969-9/12/2021, age 52) Heather suffered with a burst ulcer and became septic, which led to acute organ failure. She passed away peacefully and pain free on Sunday morning. A few had the opportunity to see and talk to her before she slipped away, and she said to tell everyone she knew that she loved them. Heather was a kind, loving person, compassionate and giving. She was intelligent, hardworking and lived life with a sense of adventure. She had an unapologetically raw sense of humor that brought laughter everywhere she went.

Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Wheatley, and her father, Richard Barlow. She is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Dominique Bakk (Maus), and Samantha Gallaway (Maus). Also left behind is her mom, Elizabeth Barlow, numerous siblings, Less LaChar, Larry Barnes, Ivan Dennis, Dale Dennis, Jacqueline Hammond, Cheryl Morris, Gloria Butler, Linda Mull, Teri Waymire, Cheryl Holtquist, Art Atkins, and Sibyl Atkins, children she loved as her own, Mark Maus and Steven Maus, extensive extended family, numerous friends, and her companion Eytan Zfira (Teddy). All of which will miss her company dearly. Heather made this world a brighter place.

Her wishes were to be cremated and brought back to Alaska to be buried next to her beloved father at the Butte Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Bodenburg Butte Baptist Church next to the cemetery at 1pm on Tuesday, October 12th. There will be a burial at 2pm next door, followed by a reception back at the church where there will be music and food. Everyone is welcome to attend.
