Retired Chief Master Sgt. Stanley P. Williams, of Dunn passed away Thursday morning at Betsy Johnson Hospital. He was born in Harnett County on December 5, 1933, to the late Alexander and Ola S. Williams. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Bobby Williams, a sister, Beatrice Johnson.

Stanley served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired from the Air Force after 26 years of service as a Chief Master Sgt. After his military career he retired from N.C. DMV Enforcement after twenty years.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery by Rev. Ken Milliken.

He is survived by his wife, Irona A. Williams, a son, Stan P. Williams, II and wife Beverly of Dunn, two daughters, Debi Miriello and husband Tom of Seven Lakes, Rhonda Lockamy and husband Buddy of Lillington ten grandchildren: Jonathan Stephenson and wife Nanci, Jennifer Stephenson, Joshua Stephenson and wife Amy, Tyler Lockamy and wife Emily, Megan L. Sparks and husband Bryan, Lauren W. Cotton and husband Seth, Michael Glover and wife Stephanie, Matthew Glover, Nathan Glover, and Nicholas Glover and wife Megan, sixteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
