Larry L. Graham, Sr., 70, of Cherry Valley passed away November 6, 2021. Born November 11, 1950 in Dekalb, the son of Bruce and Marjorie (Downing) Graham. Larry lived most of his life in the Rockford and Cherry Valley areas. A graduate of East High School. He started out young and enjoyed sharing his favorite story of taking all day picking beans for 5 cents a bushel. Larry served his country a short time in the Airforce repairing airplanes. He then went on to work at Chrysler and then retired after 42 years as a machinist specialist from JL Clark, where he met his wife of over 40 years. He married Joni M. on September 10, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV. Larry was a loving and devoted husband and dedicated worker. He was a member of Alpine Lutheran Church where he ushered for many years and where his strong faith has sustained him. Larry enjoyed camping, flea markets, collecting and tinkering with projects. He enjoyed trying to make use of everything with one of his own designs. He also enjoyed his outings to Johnny Pamcakes. Larry loved to tell good stories and live life to the fullest. He loved his family, friends and special companion dog Sadie baby dearly. His motto was, "You only have today."

Survivors include wife, Joni Graham; children, Larry Graham, Jr. (Cathy), Vince Swinehart (Dori), Mike Swinehart; grandchildren, Sofia, Steven, Seth (Ashley); siblings, Kevin Graham, Linda (Melvin) Browley, Cindy (Jim) Singly, Diana (Francis) Johnson; several nieces; nephews; and extended family. Predeceased by parents; brother, Terry Graham.
