Anna Juanita Moore, age 83, of Helena, passed away in Billings, Mont., on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001.
Anna was born on April 18, 1918, to George and Mary Atchison in Arvonia, Kan. She graduated from High School in Reading, Kan., and on May 27, 1936, she married Thomas F. Moore in Oklahoma. Anna later attended the school of business in Helena.
She worked for State Nursery and was a secretary for the Clerk of the Court in Helena.
She was a member of the Salvation Army active in Home League and an active member in Women of the Moose Lodge. She earned degrees of College of Regents, Star Recorder, and the Academy of Friendship.
Anna loved hunting, fishing, camping, sewing, and cooking, as well as Farmers Market, but most of all loved and cared for her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, a son Thomas Eugene Moore; brothers Henry, Wesley, Lewis, Elmer, Joe, James, Thomas, and Walt; sisters Mary, Mae and Gertrude.
Anna is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Roy Moore; daughters Juanita (Dale) Wyrick, Mary (Jim) Harrington, Arlene Thurston (Bill Giles), all of Helena; sister, Bertha Krueger, of Emporia, Kan.; 13 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, and several great-great- grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Anna on Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church, 1905 Henderson. Memorials in Anna's name may be sent to the Salvation Army, 1905 Henderson, Helena, MT 59601.
