Muncie- Jerry A. Kirklin, 83, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Muncie on October 7, 1938, the son of Jay and Helen (Read) Kirklin and graduated from Selma High School in 1956.

Jerry studied engineering at Purdue University before graduating from Dayton Art Institute with a degree in Industrial Design. He moved to Birmingham, Michigan in 1964 to begin work at Chrysler Corporation in exterior styling of future car designs. Jerry became self-employed in 1975 building Kentucky rifles and model train layouts.

Jerry retired in 2004 and moved back to Indiana to be near his family. His hobbies included, stamp collecting, Kentucky rifles, model railroads, photography and reading.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Mike Harrold; nephews, Jay Harrold and family and James Harrold and family.

Cremation will take place with a burial following in Beech Grove Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Morrison Woods Health Campus for all of the loving care and support over the last two years.
