Michael Ray Clark, age 64, of Powder Springs passed away November 6th, 2021. Michael grew up in the Austell area and graduated from South Cobb High School in 1975. Michael met the love of his life, Beverly, on a blind date and they have been married for 43 years. He was a huge car buff, and was a skilled at building engines, with his specialty being in dirt track racing. In his free time, he loved to attend races and root for the UGA Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Allie Ray Clark; and sister, Teresa Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Johnson Clark; mother, Elizabeth Buckner; children, Joshua Ray Clark (wife, Angela) of Cartersville, and Allison Chappell (husband, Richard) of Powder Springs; granddaughter, Lily; brother, Chris Chambers; and many beloved extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Smyrna First United Methodist Church, 1315 Concord Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
