Brenda Lou Caldwell, age 60, of Crown City, died Sunday November 7, 2021 at her residence. Born September 6, 1961 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late James Alva Caldwell and Wanda Beaver Caldwell of Crown City. In addition to her father, she was preceded by 1 Brother; Jimmy Dale Caldwell and by 1 Niece; Missy Martin.
She was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School and worked in home health as a care giver. Brenda was a tireless and hard worker, who did a great job raising her children as a single mother, and thought the world of her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her Son; Tyler Burgess (Jonna White) of Crown City, Daughter; Mandi Harold of Crown City, 3 Grandchildren; Kaylee Smith, Bentley Burgess, and Jovie Burgess; 1 Sister; Edna Wells of Gallipolis; 2 Brothers; Johnny Caldwell of Crown City, and Jerry (Linda) Caldwell of Crown City; and by Special Friends; Cindy Jones of Gallipolis and Rick and Bernice Wells of Crown City. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family would like to thank all Brenda's family, friends, and the Mercerville Community for everything they did to help Brenda and her family the last few months.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday November 12, 2021 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Garland Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 PM. to 8 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Tyler Burgess, Rick Wells, Johnny Dale Caldwell, Johnny Caldwell, Timmy Caldwell, and Scott Williamson.
