TUPELO - Minnie Lee Adams, 88, passed away at her home on March 26, 2017. A member of Spring Hill M.B. Church. A retired employee of Tecumseh Products Company in Verona, Mississippi. Once served as one of the first volunteers for the American Read Challenge Program where she went to various Headstart Centers and schools to read to the children. Minnie had a passion for cooking, reading and taking care of her green plants and flowers. She was the widow of Herman S. Adams.

Her life celebration service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 11 a.m., Spring Hill M.B. Church with Pastor Rickey Bogan officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter's Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday, March 31, 2017, at the J.W. Porter's Chapel at 4 p.m. with family and friends hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Minnie leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Patricia A. (William E.) Atkinson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister, Odell Anderson Harris of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three grandsons; three granddaughters; three stepgranddaughters; one stepgrandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in the community.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents, Ozell and Mariah Wood Anderson; her son, Arzell Boone Jr.; stepson, Herman S. Adams Jr.; two daughters, Margaret Boone and Mildred B. Bell; one sister, Leola Caldwell; three brothers, Henry L. Anderson, Willie J. Anderson and the Rev. Hubert Anderson.

In lieu of flowers the family request that you make donation to Spring Hill M.B. Church, 593 North Green Street, Tupelo, Mississippi 38804.
