CHURCHVILLE – Linda Fay Griffin, 61, of 377 Jerusalem Chapel Road, died Wednesday (November 3, 2021) in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 28, 1959, the daughter of George Henry and Virginia Lee (Helmick) Griffin.

Linda worked as a bus aide for Augusta County Schools for many years and was a devoted mother. Surviving are two children, Randy Griffin and Tasha Dawn Shifflett and her husband Tyler, all of Churchville; two brothers, Daniel Griffin and friend Joyce Simmons, and Carl Griffin and wife Elaine, all of Churchville; and two grandchildren, Audrey Coffey and Ryan Shifflett. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by Tasha's father, Dennis Huffer.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor George Etling. Burial will follow in Schutterle Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon Harris, Heath Huntley, Chad Griffin, Justin Simmons, and David and Daniel Wise.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
