Mary Alice Stein 94, of Madeira Beach, Fl. was called home, from her residence at Freedom Square, Tues. Nov.2nd, 2021. She died of natural causes.
She was born in Norwalk, Ohio to Leonard and Bertene (Ruggles) White on August 30,1927. Mary was a 1945 graduate of Norwalk High School where she received a scholarship in music to Baldwin Wallace College.
She worked for the local phone company, before her marriage to the late Paul Stein, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk September 20,1947. A devoted wife who was blessed with seven children moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 1971. There she enjoyed time with her family and friends, camping and cruises. In her later years, Mary was particularly fond of the" Rosary Gals", which she was an avid part of and attended Daily Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Candy) of Bellevue, Chuck (Wendy) of Norwalk; three daughters, Diane (Raymond) Pereira of Mississauga Ontario, Canada, Connie (Tom) Merrill, Maderia, Beach, Fl. and Nancy (Mike) Newhouse of Bushnell Fl. Mike Saunders (son-in-law) Mary Stein (daughter-in-law). 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, daughter Kathy Saunders of Albert Lea, Minn., and son John of St. Petersburg, Fl and a brother, Charles in infancy.
