Retired Lockmaster At Midland Dies At 66
Frank L. Campbell, 66, of New Kensington, Pa., retired lockmaster at Dam No. 7 at Midland, died Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Aliquippa Hospital following several week's illness. Mr. Campbell was born Jan. 15, 1891, in Georgetown and spent most of his life in the Hookstown - Georgetown area. He was employed at the dam for 39 years, retiring in 1950. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Sarah Campbell of New Kensington; four daughters, Mrs. Callie Burns of Salineville, Mrs. Ruth Campbell of Aliquippa, Mrs. Bonivere Higgins of Folsom, W. Va., and Mrs. Thelma Wright of Hookstown; a son, Frank L. Campbell Jr., of Shippingport; two brothers, Huey Campbell and Jack Campbell, both of East Liverpool; six step-children, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Rites will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Welch Funeral Home in Hookstown. Burial will be in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight and Tuesday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
