James Lamar Harvey Jr., born June 19, 1934 left his earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on November 2, 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elizabeth Ann; one son Jim Harvey (Kathy), two daughters, Cheryl Goodman (Howell) and Mary Lambert (Bobby); six grandchildren, Stewart (Courtney) Goodman, Amber (Chris) Boggess, Justin (Mitzi) Goodman, Paige Lambert, Nicholas (Kayla) Lambert and Jaron (Rachel) Harvey. Eight great-grandchildren: Cooper, Georgia, Hayes, Oliver, Nolan, Hope, Hannah and Willow; three sisters, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death was his parents and one sister.
James most loved the job was working at Merry Day Child Care Center alongside his wife, Ann, as assistant manager in charge of maintenance and was the bus driver. He would often say "This is the best job ever".
Services will be held for James at Allen-Summerhill Chapel in DeLand, FL on Friday November 5th with a visitation from 11:30-12:30 and funeral starting at 12:30.
