BIRTH AND PARENTS AND IMMIGRATION
Christian Good was born in Germany to Peter Good and his first wife, unnamed as of 2020. A Mennonite Record reported his year of birth about 1713. Peter Good, Christian's father, emigrated in 1727, one of "seventy Palatines with their families" to the USA according to a family history. Coincidentally Christian's son's, John's, Mennonite Record reported that John's immigration with Christian Good and Anna Schmidt was in 1727. Christian Good's Great Great Great Grandson, Irby Good, also reported an Immigration year of 1727. No document with Christian's signature was found as of 2021 with an Immigration year.
MARRIAGE #1 AND FAMILY AND NATURALIZATION
Christian may have married Susanna Schmidt about 1724, and, if so, they had many children during their relationship. (Note: Susanna's name was followed by ? on a Mennonite Record of Christian Good.) A Christian Good was Naturalized in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1740 or later.
OCCUPATIONS
Christian was a Minister. Services took place in a "one story stone dwelling house...on land...occupied by the Good Family." Christian Good was also a Miller.
MARRIAGE #2 AND FAMILY
Christian married Magdalena [unknown maiden name] about 1742, and probably in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Some researchers think that Magdalena was Christian's only wife. If Magdalena was his second wife, then their first child was probably Mary, born 1743. They named one of their sons, Christian. By the time Magdalena's husband, Christian Good, wrote his undated Will, with the information reported in a Patent in 1760 to his son, John, there were 17 remaining living children to manage what was named, the Good Mill.
DEATH
Christian Good passed away in 1757 on his property in Brecknock Township, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania according to John Good's Patent.
BURIAL
According to a Mennonite Record, this Christian Good was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in the Unincorporated Community of Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. No gravestone had been found as of 2021.
PROBATE
On October 28, 1757, the Probate of his Will took place in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His son, John, was co-executor.
