Earl attended Christian County Public Schools at a young age. Later they moved to Louisville and he Graduated from Central High School. Earl then enlisted in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1964. Earl returned to Louisville and started working for General Electric and then transitioned to Reynolds Aluminum where he retired. Earl was known as "Earl the Pearl" and loved Fine Clothes, Fine Cars, and Fine Women. He loved spending time with his family and especially his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Earl touched a lot of lives with the younger generations being a Mentor to so many. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Grandson, Reginald "Reggie" Johnson, Jr., Sister, Clara Hopson Washington, Aunt, Lurlene Forrest, and Great-Grandchild, Mackenzie Hinkle.
Earl is survived by his Wife, Mary Bertha Johnson, Son & Daughter-in-Law who was also his Caregiver and Loved him Dearly, Reginald (Angela ) Johnson, Daughter, Sharonda Johnson, Son, Glenn Forrest, Son, Rodney Pike, Grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Brandy Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Reginay Johnson, and D'Andrea Johnson, Helen Renee Forrest, Glenn Forrest, Jr, and Tiffany Forrest, Great-Grandchildren, Mikayla Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson-Moore, Ja'elynn Goodman, Kenneadi Posey, Kaydanse Posey, Taylin Boyd, Cali Johnson, Avah Johnson, and Mattison Reynolds, Nieces, Natasha Lee Washington, Yvonne Washington, and Nicole Washington Martin, Nephew, Albert Earl Washington. Earl also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 . His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Graveside Services will be held at a Later Date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY.
