Carolyn Sue Rogers Allen, 87, of Stamey Cove, died on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at her daughter's home in Tennessee where she had been staying for the past few months.

Carolyn was a native of Haywood County and born on June 6, 1934 to the late Ralph Cleo and Hilda Moore Rogers. She had lived in Stamey Cove most of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sherman Douglas Rogers and granddaughter, Jordan Wheeler Thomas.

She was a homemaker who loved sewing, gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a charter member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where she previously taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a member of Ladies Christian Fellowship.

Carolyn is survived by four children, Becky Young (LeJoe) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Keith Allen (Shari) of Wake Forest, NC, Kenny Allen (Pam) of Canton, NC, and Karen Wheeler (Mike) of Morganton, NC; one brother, Fred Rogers (Penni) of Greensboro, NC and Stamey Cove; eight grandchildren, Clint, Caitlin, Katie, Andria, Kristin, Bailey and Caleb; and seven great-grandchildren, Carolina, Crosby, Knox, Lucy, Benjamin, Loxley and Hudson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Maple Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. A private burial will be held at Piney Grove Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Gibson, Don Fisher, Doug Clark, Derek Fisher, John Fisher and Allen Rogers.
