Born on March 11, 1934 in Madison Heights, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley Layne and Hazel Lucille Wright Layne.
Kenneth served our country in the United States Army during Korea. He retired from the Lynchburg Foundry Company and was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa L. Stanley and two brothers, Charles Layne and Carlton Layne.
He is survived by his son, Michael Layne of Glen Allen and two grandchildren, Adam Stanley and Brandon Stanley.
