Donald Stewart Fleming, of Geneseo, passed away Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, at Hillcrest Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, November 8th, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo, IL., officiated by Pastor Stephen Mueller. Burial will be at North Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be Sunday, November 7th, from 4-6pm at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo, IL. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 316 S. Oakwood Ave., Geneseo, IL, 61254, and the Jack Mabley Developmental Center Activity Fund, 1120 Washington Ave, Dixon, IL, 61021.

Donald was born on May 27th, 1932, the son of Henry and Effie Fleming in Galva, IL. He married Violet Mae Erdman on October 17, 1954. Together they raised three daughters and two sons and recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and worked for John Deere in various capacities over a 38-year career. During his retirement he enjoyed time golfing but truly cherished his time as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather over the years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Violet; daughters, Sue Adams (Moline), Julie (Dave) Wilson (Sandy, UT), Vicki (Brian) Wahlheim (Geneseo);sons, Brad (Marcia) Fleming (Geneva, IL) and Marty Fleming (Dixon, IL); grandchildren, Jamie Archibald (Moline), Scott Wilson (Jacksonville, FL), Chris (Georgette) Wilson (Overland Park, KS) Kelli (Jon) Ross (Lincoln, NE), Derek (Becky) Wahlheim (Geneseo) Michael (Amber) Wahlheim (Davenport, IA), Ryan (Alyssa) Vretis (Bettendorf, IA), Grant (Hilary) Wahlheim (Bloomington, IL), Abigail, Andrew, and Jacob Fleming (Geneva, IL); eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Richard, Bill, Danny; and sisters, Kathryn, Linda, Karen, Sandy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Charles (Rex), Jerry, Neil; sisters, Betty, Mary; and son- in-law, Keith Adams.
