Sarah Joan (Hof) Johnson, 81, of Alamosa, Colorado passed away on September 28, 2021. Jack Keith Johnson, 78, of Alamosa, Colorado passed away on October 16, 2021.

The secret of life is not finding someone to live with, it's finding someone you can't live without. Jack and Sarah had been married for 41 years and passed away within 18 days of each other.

Sarah was born October 25, 1939, to parents Clarence and Nella (DeBoer) Hof in Alamosa Colorado. She attended elementary school at the Waverly Christian School and graduated from Alamosa High School in 1957. She was employed by Adams State University for 33 years. Sarah married Jack Johnson June 28, 1980, and together they made their home in Alamosa. The Hof siblings enjoyed gathering at their home for any celebratory gathering because Sarah's cooking reminded them of their mother's cooking. Sarah was a devoted wife and grandmother. She loved supporting and attending all the grandchildrens activities.

Sarah was survived by her husband Jack Johnson for 18 days. She is survived by her step-son Jeff (Rebekah) Johnson, grandchildren: Lindsey Harrison, Sami (Caleb) Cotten, Colby Harrison, Ty Harrison, Justin Johnson, Jeni Johnson, and Steph Johnson, her siblings: Ann (Gerry) Hoolesma, Claire (Bill) Heersink, Robert "Bob" Hof, David (Connie) Hof, sister-in-law Maryann (widow of Art) Hof, and sister-in-law Becky (widow of Ivan) Hof, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nella Hof, and brothers Art Hof and Ivan Hof.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Alamosa Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family of Jack and Sarah Johnson have requested donations in their honor be made to the Alamosa Presbyterian Church where they both dedicated many years of service.

We will always remember their love in the simple words of Winnie the Pooh, "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you." -A.A. Milne.
