On March 8, 1986, Jeff married the love of his life, MaryAnn (Mejia) Johnson at Zion American Lutheran Church in Macon, NE. Together they built a wonderful life of 35 years. Jeff and MaryAnn were blessed with four wonderful children, Joshua Jeffrey, Jordan Elena, Jacob John, and Jaelle Madeline. The family has called Fairbury, NE their home since 1996, where Dr. Johnson provided quality, compassionate optometric care to so many wonderful patients and friends.
Dr. Johnson contributed greatly to his community and profession through active involvement in the Lions Club, Gideons, and American Lutheran Church, while serving on the boards of the Nebraska Optometric Association and Jefferson Community Health & Life. Jeff will be remembered forever for his dedication to his wife and children, his affinity for movie quotes, his Dad jokes, his love of music and song lyrics, and for his steadfast faith in his savior Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Jeff is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (Fairbury), his four children (all residing in Omaha), his brother, Scott Johnson (Minden), and his sister Kathy (Kearney), as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 12, 2021 at American Lutheran Church, 1111 12th St, Fairbury, NE. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon immediately following the service. Burial will be held at a later date in Macon, NE.
