Mr. John Henry "Doobie" Angle, Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Angels of Heart Assisted Living.
Born December 30, 1939 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Roosevelt Angle and Nola Cowan Angle.
Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, he attended R.A. Clement High School, Cleveland. He worked and retired from the City of Salisbury as a Sanitation Worker.
He was a member of the Holiness Church of God, Statesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Mae Angle.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Onia Weese Angle of the home; children, Lenora Angle of Salisbury, John Angle (Elder Greta) of Cleveland, Cory Angel (Laretta) of Salisbury, Anthony Angle (LaTasha) of Cleveland, Tyrone Angle (Andrea Hopper) of Charlotte, and Denise Angle Schultz (Ogden) of New York; sister, Ola Mae Deese of Cleveland; special relationship to the family, Emmanuel Harrison of Rocky Mount; special cousins, Frances Thompson and Katie Brown both of Roanoke, VA; friend, David Brown of Phifertown, NC; 42 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
