Marlin Eugene Fahnestock, 24, born August 1, 1932 near Shippensburg, Pa., son of Clarence Edward & Lenora Elizabeth (Nutten) Fahnestock, and Nancy Jane Watson, 23, born November 6, 1933 near Shippensburg, Pa., daughter of Alfred Aughenbaugh (sic) & Nancy Rebecca (Frey) Watson, were married March 16, 1957 at Shippensburg, Pa. Miss Nancy Jane Watson and Marlin Eugene Fahnestock, employees of. Domestic Pump and Manufacturing company, Shippensburg, and residents of this area were united in marriage Saturday morning, Mar. 16 in the First Church of God, Shippensburg. Rev. M. C. Manning, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony at 10:30 a.m. He was assisted by Rev. J. Marlyn Rimert, pastor of the Mt. Rock charge, Evangelical United Brethren church (sic).

Candles and baskets of white flowers decorated the sanctuary.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred A. Watson of Shippensburg R. R. 1. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Fahnestock of Newville R. R. 1.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a chapel length gown of imported Chantilly lace, fashioned with a basque waist with Queen Ann collar delicately; trimmed with sequins and pseudo pearls and with long pointed sleeves. Her veil of pure silk illusion in fingertip length was attached to a cloche cap of Chantilly lace and nylon pleated tulle designed in rose fashion of sequins and pseudo pearls. She carried a Bible imported from England and covered with Chantilly lace over satin, with ruffles of pure silk illusion. Satin streamers with lilies of the valley scattered over them marked the Bible and three baby orchids were attached to the top.

There were no attendants.

Miss Kate Gehrett of 35 South Penn st. (sic) presented a 15 minute organ recital preceding the ceremony. The traditional matches were used.

A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride graduated in 1951 from Shippensburg Area senior high school and is employed in the office at the Domestic company. The bridegroom, who attended the Newville high school, is employed as a molder by the same company.

They are residing at the Beauty Spot Trailer Court on Shippensburg R. R. 1.

Nancy Jane Watson, 88, of Newville passed away Saturday November 6, 2021, in Green Ridge Village Newville.

She was born November 6, 1933 in Franklin County a daughter of Alfred Auchenbaugh and Nancy Rebecca Fry Watosn (sic).

She had worked as a bookkeeper for Cole Plumbing.

She had graduated from Shippensburg Area High School, and attended the Shippensburg First Church of God. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and reading.

She is preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Watson.

A graveside service will be held Friday November 12, 2021 at 2 PM in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle with Pastor Donald Snyder officiating.
