James Robert Beeler Sr., LCDR USN Ret., 62, passed away suddenly June 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Beeler. James is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sons, James Jr. and Thomas (Brandy); grandson James III; granddaughters, Savannah and Hayden; father, Edward Beeler; sister, Saundra Hansell (John); brother, Samuel (Kay); and other family members and friends. A memorial service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in James' honor to American Heart Association.
