Mary Lou eloped with the love of her life on July 21,1957. She and Clint went out for "Coke" and came back, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Burns to the surprise of both families. They were married 55 years when Clint preceded her in death on February 20, 2013.
To know Mary Lou was to know unconditional love. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She recently said with great joy in her voice, how special she felt because God knows who she is and that she gets to call him "Dad".
Watching family going through this process it is apparent in all of us that she left her mark and lives on through our actions. "What can I do for you?" was repeated continuously. Mary Lou instilled in us her very essence. It's seen in how we love each other, No matter what wrongs we did she always chose to: "Mary Lou You", this was her legacy.
She will be clearly missed and forever in our hearts and the hearts of many of you.
