She has lived in Traverse City since 1934.
Emily received an associates degree and was employed as an LPN with Munson Medical Center for many years in Labor and Delivery and the Nursery. In addition to her passion for helping others, she also enjoyed sewing, photography and feeding the birds. Emily attended yoga classes at NMC for decades.
Emily is survived and missed dearly by nephews and nieces; Garry, Lynda, Greg, David, Chris, Kathy, Debbie, Carolyn, Nancy and Marilyn as well as many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Inez Clay, Louise Hollenbeck, Lloyd Matteson, Ardith Lautner and Robert Matteson her nephew Arlen Hollenbeck as well grandnephew Clayton Luther.
A graveside service will take place on Friday November 5, 2021 at 1:00pm at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
