It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Jeanne Fouasse, on August 1, 2005, at the age of 84 years.

Jeanne will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her beloved five children, Céline (Robert Robitaille), Élise (Maurice Bazin), Roger (Rose-Marie), Joseph (Nicole) and Ronald; seven grand-children, Richard (Suzie), Stéphane, Nadine (Alain Verrier), Léo, Patrick, Sylvie and Monique; three great-grand-children, Joel & Matieu Verrier and Cerys Evans; sisters Angèle Brundige and Lucie Boisvert; sisters-in-law Reine Deda, Cécile Tarko, Marie Comte and Suzanne Comte; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and relatives. She was pre-deceased by her husband Maurice, daughters Armelle and Marie-Jeanne, brothers Jules and Clément Pantel, sisters Céline and Thérèse, brothers-in-law Jerry Brundige, Maurice Boisvert, Auguste Comte, Jos Comte, Germain Fouasse, Mike Tarko and Jos Deda, sister-in-law Louise Pantel and nephew André Pantel.

Jeanne was born April 7, 1921. She attended École Saint-Adelard in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. She married Maurice Fouasse on October 29, 1942. They lived on the farm near Cardinal from 1942 to 1974. Then they moved to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.

Jeanne was a member of the Filles d'Isabelle for many years. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Foyer Notre-Dame and secretary for the Club d'Âge d'Or. She very much enjoyed playing cards with her friends and tending to her garden and flowers.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre-Dame Roman Catholic Church on Thursday August 4, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Mgr Noël Delaquis officiating. Interment at the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to the Centre de bien-être Notre-Dame or the Parkinson Society of Manitoba.

The family wishes to thank the members of the staff at the Notre-Dame Foyer, the Notre-Dame Hospital, the Home Care Services and a special thanks to Mrs. Renée Jackson for her kindness and devotion.
