Dorothy graduated from Madison East High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Monroe Wood in April of 1952. Together they raised three daughters and a son. Dorothy and Monroe were married 55 years.
Dorothy was a member of the Stoughton United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for their food pantry. She loved collecting and sharing food recipes, traveling with Monroe and working on their family's genealogy. She enjoyed listening to music, gardening, reading and knitting. Dorothy always loved the holidays and would cook and decorate her home and invite her family and friends in. But most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Allen and Lori (Thomas) Olson; son-in-law, Steve Ward; brother, Wayne Flisram; 11 grandchildren, April, Tonya, Melissa, Heather, Amy, Sarah, Michelle, Keith, Ryan, Rebeca and Austin; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Wood; her parents; daughter, Karen Ward; son, Steven Wood; and brothers, Warren and Dennis Flisram.
