Mrs. Martha Ann Robinson was born August 18, 1941, to the late Jessie Lee Jones York and the late Richard Mills. She was the first born of eleven.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Polk Chapel M.B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Gaston where she remained until her health failed under Pastor Alvin Newburn, II.

Martha attended school at Kennedy School in Grady, AR. She later received her GED. Martha absolutely loved her children and her Church Family. She always worked to see that her children and grandchildren had the best and stressed the importance of getting a good education. Her sense of humor was contagious as seen in her children and grandchildren.

She married Jeremiah Robinson Jr. in 1961, who after 36 years preceded her in death. To this union four children were born: three sons, Leonard Robinson, Jeremiah Robinson III (Debra), and Dale Robinson (Andrea); and one daughter, Brenda Robinson Johnson (Benny).

Martha was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremiah Robinson IV, and her husband Jeremiah Robinson Jr., two brothers, Cleveland Wade and William Henry York. She leaves to cherish her memories: three brothers, Warren York, Jr. of Benton Harbor, Michigan; James Walter York of Berrin Springs, Michigan; Phillip York of Altheimer, AR; four sisters, Susie Yancy of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Ida Hester, Mary Jackson and Orie Montgomery all of Star City, AR; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Yorktown, AR by Pastor Alvin Newburn, II. Interment in Sneed Chapel Cemetery Yorktown, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR. Her body will lie in-state 1:45 p.m. until service time.
