Johnny Anthony Grant, 65, of 806 West Fairview Avenue Gaffney, S.C. was called from labor to reward on Sunday Morning, October 31, 2021 in his residence.
A native of Greenville County, S.C. he was a son of the late Eddie Lewis and the late Ida Vera Pilgrim Grant.
On September 19, 1992, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Emma Lucenda Wood.
Johnny attended the public schools of Greenville County, S.C. He was a former Shipping Clerk for Newark Electronics in Gaffney, S.C. and a retired self- employed painter. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Gaffney.
Surviving are: his wife, Emma Wood Grant, of the home; 2 brothers, Vincent (Leslie) Grant of Greenville, S.C. and Rev. Ford (Jean) Grant of Seneca, S.C.; 4 sisters, Margaret Dreher of Piedmont, S.C., Shelia Young of Clemson, S.C., Linda Cannon of Simpsonville, S.C. and Venessa (James) Spurgeon of Greenville, S.C.; Aunt, Novella Anderson of Lyman, S.C.; special nephews, Denzel Dawkins, Malachi Wood and Scotty Dreher; god- Children, William Ellis of Gaffney, Cantania C. Hollis of Boiling Springs, S.C., Scotty Dreher of Piedmont, S.C., and Jaqula Cannon of Greenwood, S.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Viewing will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Rev. John H. Gilmore Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary, Greer, S.C.
A Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the chapel of The Gilmore Mortuary, 214 Memorial Drive in Greer, S.C.
