Rhoenia Roberts Langford and Leroy Langford were the grandparents of the late, great movie star and singer, Frances Langford, who appeared with Bob Hope on USO tours.


Leroy Langford enlisted in Company F, 4th Florida Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
He was captured in battle at Cedar Key, Florida on 15 January 1862 and confined at Ft. Delaware in the State of Delaware. He received mistreatment at the hands of his captors and
was disabled the rest of his life. He was 'til the end of his life an unrepentant Rebel.
