Wanda June Cook, 96, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Highland Medical Center in Scottsboro, Alabama, following a brief illness. She was born on June 15, 1925 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Jack Clifford and Catherine (Stoner) Ross.
Wanda graduated from Gaston School in 1943 and later became a production control employee for Ball Glass Corp. retiring after 35 years of service. She was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include one daughter Jane Hayes Robert), Tallahassee, Florida; two sons, John R. Cook (Sandi), Scottsboro, Alabama and Michael R. Cook (Susan), Kankakee, Illinois; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clifford Ross; one sister, Patricia Kirkwood.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
