Mr. Charles Eugene "Gene" Peyton, age 73 of Mayfield, passed away at 6:20 P.M. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his residence. He was a retired mechanic for Hutson Ag and Kimble and Walker Implement Co. He is survived by his wife; Linda Cox Peyton, two sons: Thad (Karen) Peyton, West Paducah, Chad Peyton, Virginia Beach, VA., one brother; Dean Peyton, Kevil. He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Ray and Ida Lanier Peyton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Dr. Mike Baker and Rev. Herbert Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodville Cemetery in Kevil. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
