Mrs. Mary Lee Morrison, 87, formerly of Jamestown and Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at her home in Horn Lake, Mississippi. She was born on March 12, 1934 in Shelbyville, Indiana; a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Barricklow.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1952. Mary was united in marriage to Melvin Gene Morrison on January 14, 1961; he preceded her in death on August 20, 2008.
She owned and operated the Furniture Mart in Ladoga, Indiana with her late husband for many years until retiring in 2003.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always gave the best she had to those she loved. Mary lived with her daughter Penny and son-in-law Tony after the death of her husband. She loved traveling with her Sunday School class but was happiest at home with her family watching movies, helping prepare family meals, and providing companionship to Penny, Tony and their 4 dogs. Her absence will be felt for a long time to come.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Keeler of Horn Lake, Mississippi; son, Stephen Morrison of Crawfordsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Aaron, Deanna, Renee and Josh; sister, Charlotte Hodges of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana.
