Higgins, Denise McCarthy Denise McCarthy Higgins, Seguin, TX, former resident of Dallas, TX for over 25 years passed away on May 25, 2013. She was born in 1940 in Chicago, IL to Ruth and Edmund McCarthy and moved to Oklahoma City in 1942. She graduated from St. Anthony's Nursing School, Oklahoma City, OK with her degree in nursing. After she retired from nursing she had more time for volunteer work and to devote to her quilting and bridge clubs. She leaves a legacy of caring and love for her family. She is survived by daughter Diane Hambric (Dr. Bryan Hambric) of Seguin, TX, and son Dr. Edmund Higgins, Col., US Army, (Susan) of Ft. Bragg, NC along with her six beloved grandchildren, Cole, Grant, and Grace Hambric; and Francesca, Isabella, and Joseph Higgins. She is also survived by her twin sister Diane Copenspire, Dallas, TX; sister Judy Love (Tom) of Oklahoma City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
