Julie Kay Young, age 59, of Bettendorf, formerly of Wilton and Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home in Bettendorf.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, at Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, at Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton.
Julie Kay Young was born November 26, 1961, in Davenport, the daughter of Leo and Shirley (Romaine) Young. She graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1980. She attended the University of Iowa, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She married Michael Poli and were later divorced. She later graduated from Arizona State University with her Bachelor Degree in finance in 1991. She was employed as a Real Estate Agent for Realty Executives and Russ Lyon in Phoenix. She led and volunteered with many charities in Arizona, such as Boots & Ballet and the American Heart Association. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating and traveling worldwide and taking road trips with her son throughout the United States.
Surviving are one son, Justin Jackson; one brother, Richard (Mary Alice) Young; one sister, Kris (Steve) Rock; one niece; four nephews; and her partner, Terry Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
