Joseph H., 88, of Chester, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at his residence. Joe is survived by his three sons, Michael S. (Pamela), Stephen H. (Annette), both of Chester, and Craig B. (Rebecca), of N. Dinwiddie; brother, James R. Reed; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; friend, Ruth Weaver, and a large, loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jane Reed; and daughter, Lisa Reed.

He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe was an executive in the trucking industry for over 60 years. He loved to play golf and fishing at Ethridge Seafood in Wanchese, N.C.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Decker will be officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 920 S. Main Street, Suite C and D, Blackstone, Va. 23824.
