Sara B. Hancock, 84, of Lizella, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Graveside celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with her grandson, Wade Bennett, Jr. officiating,

Sara was born in Covington. Georgia. She graduated from Newton County High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. Her nickname was "Horse". She enjoyed going to her class reunions. She recently attended their 65th Anniversary on September 2, 2021.

She loved her Atlanta Braves and Willie Nelson.

She was employed at Piggly Wiggly as the deli manager. She went on to be the top salesperson for Odo Ban before her retirement.

Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Adams, her brother, Dan Sharpton, husband Frank Bennett and late husband, Jackson Hancock.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scott Bennett (Karen), Kurt Bennett (Susan), Tracy Bennett (Lisa), Wade Bennett (Diane), Mitch Hancock (Nancy), Cindy Richardson, Jack Hancock, Jr. (Carla) and 20 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren.
