AUGUST 23, 1945 – NOVEMBER 3, 2021

Kaye Franklin of Sulphur passed away November 3, after a long and courageous battle against Alzheimer's disease. Born August 23, 1945, in Lake Charles, La., Mrs. Franklin was raised in Sulphur, La. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School and McNeese State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education and master's degree in Counseling.

Kaye was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ben L. Franklin; her parents, Clyde Sr. and Isabelle "Sis" Hook Eccles; and one brother, Clyde "Sonny" Eccles, Jr. She is survived by one son, Rev. Benjamin Franklin, and wife, Amanda; two grandsons, Benjamin Paul and Brooks Samuel Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, and from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Benjamin Franklin and Rev. Dr. Teresa Reiger will officiate. Interment will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
