Mr. Robert Leon Parris, age 77 of Summerville, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Parris was born in Springfield, Louisiana on August 14, 1944, son of the late Rev. Clyde Parris and Opal Naves Parris. He was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church and was retired from Ezell Electric. Mr. Parris enjoyed working on and building cars, especially Volkswagens. He traveled extensively delivering and picking up cars for Eddie Bramlett (WSN Sales) and was always ready with a story to tell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Parris was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Parris; brothers, Donnie Parris and Duck Parris; granddaughter, Brittany Smith; great grandson, Parker Joseph and his mother-in-law, Ola Bowling.

Mr. Parris is survived by his children, Teresa White, Tim and Cara Parris, Keith Parris, Rob and Jane Parris, Jeff and Linda Wofford, Kelly Wofford and Jason and Lesley Mitchell; brother and sister-n-law, Cecil and Polly Parris; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann and Renard Lanier and Frances Busby; special friend, Brenda Jenkins; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Parris will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Mitch Parris, Nick Parris, Joe Middleton, Logan Parris and Stacy Rhinehart. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class of Teloga Baptist Church.

Mr. Parris will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
