"Theresa Dorthea Rode, aka Granny, of Cherry Spring, passed away Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, at the age of 88.

Theresa was born on Sunday, January 29, 1933 to Theobald and Meta Lange in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was the youngest of five daughters. On April 11, 1953, she married Andrew Rode. They spent their 62 years together on their ranch in Cherry Spring where she continued to live after his passing. She played basketball in school and passed this pastime down to her grandchildren where she could be found playing many rounds of "Horse" and pick up games in the front driveway. She also enjoyed playing games and always allowed the grandchildren or great-grandchildren to pick which game to play. Theresa worked most of her life in some capacity as a secretary. She was a giver! She gave of her time to her family, friends, church, and work friends. She was also very independent...not wanting to leave her home on the ranch and not wanting to bother anyone with problems she may incur."
