Mrs. Sandra Virginia Jones Wilson, age 71, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Dalton, GA on January 30, 1950, daughter of the late William Jones and the late Mary Nell Hambright Jones. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Jerry Wayne Wilson, and by a brother, Donnie Jones. Mrs. Wilson was employed as a Clerk at various convenience stores in our area for many years. She was a member of Word and Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Wilson, to whom she was married on May 28, 1976; a stepson, Gary Lamar Wilson (Melinda), Ringgold; two grandchildren, Joshua and Brittney Wilson, both of Ringgold; a great grandchild, Gavin Wilson, Ringgold; a sister, Ellen Fowler, Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 1pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Dr. John Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 5 until 7pm.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
