Our beloved father will forever be in our hearts. Charles Garner Jr. was loving, caring, heart full of gold, and had a strong mind that he instilled in all his children. He was born to the late Charles Sr. & Zelda Garner on November 4, 1946. Charles attended Winona High School in Winona, TX and graduated in 1964. He also attended Liberty Baptist Church in Winona, TX. Shortly after graduating from high school Charles joined the United States Air Force and served our Country from May 1965 to May 1969. He was stationed at Travis Airforce Base Summer of 1966. One of the greatest days of his life would soon come and even Charles was not expecting this joyous moment. He would soon meet Carolyn that same year and married the love of his life in 1968. In 1972 Charles and his wife moved to Seattle Washington and they would soon welcome 5 children whom Charles adored with all his heart. He made sure all his children attended Sunday school and church every Sunday. Charles was a family man, and his children were his heartbeat.

Charles attended the University of Washington to pursue his career as a history major. He enjoyed basketball, music, dancing, and cars especially his Cadillac. His favorite artist was "R Kelly" and he truly enjoyed listening to his music. He was a sharp dresser and had great taste in fashion, not to forget his collection of hats. Blue and gray was his favorite colors, and he was very selective when it came to his attire. There were many things Charles was fond of and reading his bible was one of them. His favorite scriptures were from the book of Psalms Chapter 91, and he always kept a pocket bible on him.

Charles gained his wings on September 2, 2021, at the Veteran's Hospital in Seattle Washington and leaves to mourn his 5 children, Nia Garner, Charles Garner, Christy Garner (son in law Kenneth Peeler), Rosha'e Garner, Daniel Garner, Seattle WA, sisters Joyce Mosley and the late Sandra Black, Tyler TX; brother Larry Garner, Tyler, TX; 21 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.(Tributearchive.com)
