Renee' was born in Loris, South Carolina on October 7, 1959, to Pauline Lewis and the late Lloyd Lewis. She had a younger sister, Robin Hemm, whom she loved dearly.
For 37 years, Renee' was a devoted wife to her husband, Douglas "Ray Jay" Johnson. They had two daughters, Alisha Stinson and Allison Johnson. Renee' also leaves behind a son-in-law, Joseph Stinson, and three grandchildren, Harper, Ansley and Joseph Julian, who were all so dear to her heart.
Renee' traveled around the world with her husband as a supportive Air Force wife. Before having children, she was an outstanding waitress and always loved helping and getting to know people.
Renee' was a social butterfly who made friends everywhere she went. You could always count on her to brighten up your day as she had a phenomenal sense of humor and could make anyone laugh!
After having her children, she became a stay-at-home mother and was instrumental in their care. Renee' certainly treasured her children, and later enjoyed her role as "Nana" to her grandchildren. Embracing family values and being the matriarch of the family was the most important part of her life.
A caring and loving person, Renee' loved people from all walks of life and loved animals just as much. She prided herself in being a foster mom to countless dogs with her involvement in Pawsome Southern Rescue over the years.
Her legacy is her life, her example, and her impeccable character, which will forever live in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
A service will take place at McCullough Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Renee' will be privately laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Renee' to Pawsome Southern Rescue, 163 Davidson Rd., Bonaire, GA 31005.
