The Boulder County Coroner's Office has identified a woman found dead Wednesday in the mountains west of Boulder as Sandra Pletschet, of Nederland.
A news release from the coroner's office indicates that the agency has performed an autopsy on Pletschet, 61, but her cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office previously stated that Pletschet's death did not appear to be suspicious. A search and rescue team found Pletschet's body near the Eldora mine on Wednesday while searching for a lost hiker.

On Tuesday, a man and woman hiking near Arapahoe Pass Trail and Arapahoe Glacier Trail heard a woman yelling but were not sure if she needed help. The hikers searched the area for a short period of time and then went to the Nederland Police Department to report the incident.

A search team consisting of sheriff's deputies, members of Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and Front Range Rescue Dogs spent several hours looking for Pletschet on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Her car was found at the 4th of July Trailhead the same day.

National Weather Service history indicates that it began snowing in Nederland, which is close to the area, on Tuesday evening during the search.
