James Leroy Cannon passed away on Thursday, October 28th in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 80 Years and 10 months old. He was born on December 28, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to Joseph and Eula (Banks) Cannon.
James was a Webster High School graduate & upon graduation he began working in the residential construction business. Though he resided in different parts of Tulsa County throughout his life, he spent the last 35 years living in the Liberty-Mounds area with his beloved wife, Judy. James had many hobbies and interests, one being his love for animals, especially his cats and watching the hummingbirds outside of his house. He also enjoyed being outside, fishing, gardening, and watching OU and OSU football.
James was a devout family man and Christian. His greatest joys were being with his family and attending events for his grandchildren. They remember James as a quiet, sweet, and caring father and grandfather who will dearly be missed.
He is survived by his children; Steve Cannon, Kathy Wollmershauser and husband Charlie, Caron Cannon, Vickie Chatterton, Angela Walker, Stephen Sutter and wife Stephanie, eight grandchildren; Tim Wollmershauser, Jeff Wollmershauser and wife Lina, Robert Chatterton, Kara Chatterton, Alan Manning and wife Alicia, Hallie Sutter, Josie Sutter, and Sam Sutter, six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Cannon, and his parents and siblings.
