Sheila Marie Porter Greenwell, 69, of New Hope passed away Monday November 1, 2021 at her residence in New Hope, surrounded by her family. Sheila lead the choir for several years at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Shelia was always willing to lend an ear to anyone who needed to talk. Sheila Marie Porter Greenwell was born October 2, 1952, in Lebanon, KY to the late Shirley Irwin & Dorothy Allyne Hicks Porter. Sheila Marie Greenwell was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Irwin & Dorothy Allyne Hicks Porter; one brother, Michael Porter. Sheila Marie Porter Greenwell is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Emmett Greenwell of New Hope; one son, Jason (Nikki) Greenwell of Indiana; a daughter, Sarah (Charles) Dant of New Hope; one granddaughter, Cora (Andrew) Oakes; and two great-grandchildren, Maggie & Tommy Oakes; one sister, Denise (Larry) Hicks of Bardstown; several brothers and sister-in-laws; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services for Sheila Marie Porter Greenwell will be held Thursday November 4, 2021 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, with Father Matthew Hardesty officiating. Visitation for Sheila will be held Thursday November 4, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. in the chapel of the William R.
