Bertha "Lou" Moore, 86, of Lubbock, Texas passed away October 31, 2021.
Lou was born October 27, 1935 in LaGrange, AR to Elmer Burns and Delcie Burns. Lou moved to California after graduating high school where she met the love of her life Robert. They married on January 17th 1955. She worked at a sanitarium as dietitian in California. After that she had her own daycare in the home caring for children who she adored as well being a Sunday school teacher to teach her children the words of God. In 1990 Robert and Lou moved to Lubbock, Texas. She graduated with her accounting degree in 1998. She worked at as a receptionist at a local vending company. She attended Indiana Ave Baptist Church. She loved her savior. She worked at her church for 10 years before fully retiring. She loved her family and friends more than anything. Lou will be missed by so many for her kindness, love and smile she carried with her. She always had the right words to say when someone was having a bad day.
Loved ones include daughter Rhonda Moore (Jerry) of Lubbock, TX; Son Kenneth Moore (Vickie) of Lubbock, Tx; Four grandchildren; Jeremy, Britnie (Clinton), Kenny, Timmy; Brother Sonny (Cindy) of Mississippi; and numerous extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by Robert Moore (Husband); Elmer Burns (Father), Delcie Owens (Mother).
Family visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Wednesday, November 03, 2021, 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 4, 2021, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Steve McMeans officiating. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
