Steven Welton Williams, 83, of Morrilton, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born July 1, 1938 in Springfield, Arkansas to the late Earnest and Freddie Bell Toney Williams.

Steven joined church at a very young age at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas and remained a member until his death. He worked for Covington Roofing Company for many years. He was the first black man to work for the company. He loved fishing and hunting and being around family. Steven married Justine Davis and to this union six children were born; Steven, Jr., Celestine, Valorie, Gloria, Terry and Demetrius Williams, all of Detroit, Michigan. He relocated to Flint, Michigan for years. He leaves cherished memories to his sons, King Walton and Stephon both of Flint, Michigan and daughter, Shalyn Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Williams, Jr; daughter, Celestine Williams Holder; brothers, Michael Wayne Williams and Sonny Boy Williams; sister, Hazel Flood; grandmother, Dovie Williams and uncle, Virgil Toney, Sr.

Additional survivors: sisters, Alice Mae Blackburn of Fayetteville, AR, Althalene Hill and Georgia Parker McNabb both of Springfield, AR, Lorene Walls of Morrilton, AR and Allene Walls of Flint, MI; brother, Earnest Charles Williams of Morrilton, AR; twenty-seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 728 Mt. Olive Road, Plumerville, Arkansas. Visitation is fro 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas.
