On April 7, 2020, Holly W. Moody passed away in her sleep at the Elm Wood Center in Claremont, NH following a prolonged illness surrounded by her family. She was born in Camden, NJ to Edwin and Wynnefred Willard on November 20, 1939.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Richard "Dick" Moody and son, Robert "Rob" Moody; along with her daughter-in-law, Shanna and two grandsons, Adam and Seth.

Holly spent her early years in Merchantville before moving to various locations following the end of WWII including: London, England; Paris, France and Washington DC; along with her two surviving sisters, Deborah Coogan of Newton, MA and Judith Meyer of Boynton Beach, FL. She is also survived by three nephews and one niece.

As a result of her early exposure to traveling abroad; Holly went on to attended Mount Holyoke College, majoring in Education and eventually receiving her Masters from Johns Hopkins. Her first job was in White Plains, NY.

In 1965 she married her husband and lived briefly in Boston, MA before moving to New Hampshire.

Holly has been a resident of Claremont since 1969. In 1977 she returned to her chosen professional of teacher; teaching French for Stevens Annex and High School for over 20 years. Retiring in the late 90s as head of the French Department.

During her time as an educator, Holly also shared her love for travel with many of her students; arranging annual trips to various locations in Europe between the early 80s until her retirement. She traveled to London, Paris, Rome, Florence and so many other places with her students, friends and family.

As an avid reader, Holly enjoyed her connection with the local library in Claremont. And the Moody Family's sincerest thanks goes out to the Fiske Free staff for always keeping a stack of books ready and waiting for Holly to read; allowing her to continue her adventures even when homebound.

Burial is in Union cemetery.
